ProgressScape is a free Old School RuneScape progression tracker at progressscape.net, plus an optional RuneLite plugin that syncs your in-game progress to it. This policy covers both, and explains what is collected, what is stored only on your own device, who can see it, and how to have it deleted.
ProgressScape is a fan-made project run by one person. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jagex Ltd.
You do not need an account, and you do not need the plugin. If you just tick things off on the site, that progress is saved in your own browser's local storage and is never sent anywhere. It includes things like which entries you have completed, your skill levels, boss kill counts, collection log ticks, Combat Achievement ticks, custom plans and notes, your last looked-up RSN, and your light/dark preference.
Because it lives in your browser, clearing your site data or switching device or browser will lose it. The Export option on the Progression page saves a file you can import elsewhere.
If you install the plugin, it uploads the following to the ProgressScape database. Most of it is sent automatically when you log in and log out; the collection log is only sent when you press the sync button with your collection log open in game.
This is the part worth reading twice. ProgressScape works by letting anyone type in an RSN and see that account's progression, so anything the plugin uploads is readable by anyone who knows or guesses your username. That is the point of the tracker, but it does mean you should not install the plugin if you would rather your progress stayed private. If you change your mind, you can have your data deleted using the contact details below.
The site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to count visits and to see which features get used, so time goes into the parts people actually use. This sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you visit.
It also records anonymous events such as a lookup being performed, an entry being ticked off, or a tool being opened. These deliberately do not include your RSN or any other identifying detail — the record is that a lookup happened and whether plugin data was found, never whose account it was for.
If you would rather not be counted, a browser ad blocker or tracking blocker will stop it, and the site is built to work normally when it is blocked.
Any service your browser contacts can see your IP address as part of making the request. Each of these has its own privacy policy.
Uploaded progression data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database in the Asia-Pacific (Sydney, Australia) region, against your OSRS username only. No passwords or payment information are ever collected or stored, because there are no accounts and nothing is for sale.
Solely to power the tracker at progressscape.net — so you, and anyone you share your username with, can see your progression. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for commercial purposes.
Uploaded data is kept for as long as you use the plugin. To have all data for your account removed, email the address below with your OSRS username. Deletion will be completed within 7 days. Uninstalling the plugin stops any further uploads, but does not by itself remove what has already been sent — ask for deletion if you want it gone.
Progress stored only in your browser is yours to clear at any time through your browser's site data settings.
If what is collected changes, this page and the date at the top will be updated.
